(NOTE: I'm rusty on my knowledge here it's been awhile)

In HALO jumps anything above about 20K'+ you need oxygen or you'll have the fun of getting hypoxia, you also have to pre-breath about 30 minutes or so to get all the nitrogen out of your blood so you don't, mmm well die. (you can pass out and go into the ground like a lawn dart) Also at those high alts you can catch frostbite due to subzero temps blowing by at 120mph, HALO's are not for the faint of heart. We jumped anywhere from 25K to close to 40K feet, much higher and you need a space suit.
You can also do HAHO jump which are great for just enjoying the view, you'll jump at 30-35K' and open at 25-28K' and just glide for miles. Not the same rush as headed to the planet surface at full speed, but you get to enjoy it longer.
I think my highest jump was about 45,000 feet or so, I'd have to find the jump log in the 'archive' to be sure. Getting to old for that stuff now, I haven't jumped in about 15 years.
