How about listing any meds you're currently on (preferrably for mental stuff). I'm on a cocktail of Zyprexa, Clonazepam, Lamotrigine, and Celexor. And you.....?? I guess the reason I made this topic was that I was off them for a couple of days (pharmacy f**kup) and I felt like I was heroin sick. Not fun at all.

No meds, but I do have to sleep with a CPAP every night . . . basically a transparent Darth Vader mask.

I'm supposed to take ritaline for my ADD, but I don't want to, so I don't. That, fish oil capsules and anti-depressants (which I do take).

Citalopram.  I've got some general anxiety disorder.  I really never had "anxiety", but whenever I went into a public building I felt like I was going to tip over and pass out.  Med's seem to have fixed that.  It's actually an anti-depression drug;  I've never had any problems with depression, but anti-anxiety and anti-depression medications seem to be interchangeable.  It's all about getting the correct level of serotonin in the brain so you don't get too nutty   :teddyr:

I get that sometimes too, Jack: it is a hell of a weird feeling.

I should be on meds for just about everything wrong with me but the pills they put me on made me sicker.

Oh I used to hate that feeling, really effects your quality of life when you've always got to be worrying about that crap whenever you go to work or go shopping or...anything.  There are a ton of different anti anxiety / anti depressant drugs.  Maybe you could ask your doctor about trying something a little less powerful that doesn't make you sick.  I used to be on Lexapro which worked great for me.  The Citalopram only costs about 1/5th as much though, and after a month or so to get used to it, it seems to do about the same thing.  I think the Lexapro had a little extra happiness added to the formula though

Never seen a doctor in my adult life.
So I'm either fit as a fiddle or about to collapse.

Although I did pop into a GP's office a few weeks ago.

Nefazodone (anti-depressant SSRI).

I'm assuming we're talking about meds you take daily?  It's a little weird to see two different guys on Clonazepam.  That stuff is highly addictive.  I'd be scared to take it too frequently.  I can understand why Votron felt heroin sick.  Withdrawal from benzodiazepenes probably is as bad as heroin withdrawal, and can even be fatal.

I've been prescribed different courses of various pills for anti-depression/anxiety but none of them have had any noticable effect so I stop, I'm not really a 'pill person' tbh. since last xmas I've completely given up drinking and smoking and that seems to have been the best medication so far. the side effect is I get really bored a lot

I have to take my Clonazepam four times a day. I don't see how it's addictive though, because I'm on a really low dosage and I can definately do without it for quite some time with no side effects. I think the main reason I got sick was withdrawals from my Zyprexa which is an antipsychotic. I'm not quite sure what it does exactly except it knocks me out cold. Most of my meds are to be taken at bedtime anyway. Helps me a lot because I've had severe insomnia for as long as I remember.
