I don't watch WWE  :tongueout: but speaking of Wrestlemania, New Orleans will hold it next year.
yeah no.

JaseSF

New Orleans is a great choice. They usually have good crowds there.

Thanks! I also find it a good choice, since the Super Bowl has been held here 10 times.
yeah no.

HappyGilmore

They were in New Orleans for Chamber...and the crowd was dead.

They were there for the 2001 Royal Rumble as well.
yeah no.

HappyGilmore

Guess it depends. But...the shows have been kinda horrible lately.

Getting a little better, but nowhere near great.

Jack Swagger was arrested for a DUI and marijuana possession...wonder if this quells his current push...

I didn't see Elimination Chamber but I heard good things about it. Of course, Rock nowadays is not all that interesting a draw for me. Let's face it, he's more entertainer than in-ring performer and truthfully, he probably always was. In most of his best matches, he was being practically carried by someone else...

Cena-Punk's match on Raw this week will probably outdo any match they have at Wrestlemania this year. Best two matches I've seen so far this year: Punk-Jericho and Punk-Cena. Punk seriously comes across as having lost his marbles lately though with the "god" stuff...that seems to be the way they're going with him...cult leader whose lost his marbles...hmm maybe a return of certain group might yet happen (in a new form no doubt)..They also showed a glimpse of an Undertaker return apparently at an house show. So who will Taker face, perhaps a six-man against the Shield or perhaps it will be Taker-Punk.

I think Taker might team up with Ryback and friends to take on The Shield, or The Shield and Punk, or go one on one with Punk.

Based on Punk's promo this week, and with next week being 'old school' Raw,  I see him facing The Undertaker.

The fact that they are exploiting his death the same way they did with Eddie Guerrero disgusts me.

Is anyone else not really excited about this years  Wrestlemania?

The only match I'm really looking forward to is Ryback vs Mark Henry.

Everything else is rematches  or really thrown together at the last second.

Also WWE put an alumni page up for jurt Angle

I never thought I'd see that happen.

Wrestlemania is just like Ozzfest these days, it's only a name.  Callme old fashioned, but I used to like Vince McMahon's old "Professional Wrestling Hour" that showed on pre-cable TV and some UHF stations.
There wasn't so much glam, glitter, and all this soap opera stuff back then. They wrestled, and they had little interviews with the commentators and said some of the funniest insults to each other while doing it.
I guess times have changed and it's all about money now. Not my cup a' tea.

HappyGilmore

Just about the only two matches I wanna see are CM Punk vs. Undertaker and HHH vs. Brock Lesnar.
