Nail Gun Massacre (1985)

"Put that thing down now, somebody could get hurt. LOOK B!TCH I SAD PUT THAT THING DOWN."
Loved this one as a kid! :teddyr:
Plenty of gratuitous T&A, & a camera operator with the mindset of a teenage boy! :tongueout:
Not too unusual, how they try to pass this off as a MYSTERY MOVIE with a dull excuse for a twist ending.
Gotta love the killer's outfit! :bouncegiggle: Wearing a thermal in the middle of summer, that happens to be a very dark shade of camouflage, against a bright yellow air tank on his back.
Favorite quote, The Local Doctor says, "What do you think made these holes?" while inspecting a dead body fake nail heads sticking out of it, not holes...
"Science Fiction & Nostalgia have become the same thing!" - T Bone Burnett
The world runs off money, even for those with a warped sense of what the world is.

Hell yes!!!! House Of Death is awesome despite there's no actual house of death to speak of. Shame it sat in the shelf for so long. I've been waiting for years for it to be released on dvd/bd.
I just watched it, looks like the kind of thing Vipco would've released on dvd in this country, but I guess they didn't...

found it entertaining. probably some of the worst use of music as a suspense tool I've ever seen (or heard). also the goofiness of the kids reminded me of the teens in THE MUTILATOR. thanks for that one Russell :drink:

Did anybody see Blödaren (1983) [aka The Bleeder]?

I saw it on this review and it looks awesomely weird for a slasher and freaking hard to find too! I don't see it on youtube, amazon, ebay... :(

Here's another:
MARDI GRAS MASSACRE (1978)
Basically BLOOD FEAST moved to New Orleans.
One of those "No one under 17 admitted" shockers, ala Pieces or the uncut Zombie.

retro mentioned A Night to Dismember so technically we could close the thread now

However, I'll top that with Nightmare Weekend (1986)

And this one: my folks would never let me see it because of the poster art:

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Found this one on youtube. I haven't watched it yet, but it certainly seems like it would fit right in.

just checked this one out. would struggle to call it a slasher exactly... not sure how I'd class it. like an outdoor adventure flick, with some random 'killer' caveman in a loincloth who seems to be channeling Z from Police Academy, but is only on screen for about 2 mins? it's like a kids film but with a couple of vaguely gory deaths. mildly entertaining anyhow...

Nightmare Weekend was VERY painful for me. Ugh.

Here's a horrid piece of s**t starring Kevin Costner in what I'm assuming is his first movie.

Shadows Run Black (1986)

! No longer available

The title would be a nice name for a giallo though.

Check this baby out:
Terror At Tenkiller
! No longer available

seen terror at tenkiller (I think) but not that kevin Costner one

talking of pre-fame a-listers doing slashers how about brad pitt's 'cutting class'. I've got the dvd and watched it once, don't remember much but I remember it being pretty weird

(got The Prey lined up for later ~) EDIT - thought the whole movie was on YT but it's not...

No, that would be "Sizzle Beach USA" from the late 70s.
He was also a corpse in THE BIG CHILL (1983).

They've got it on Amazon - on Blu ray nonetheless! I just ordered it :bouncegiggle: I guess it's made from a 2K scan of the original negative, so I'm sure it will look a lot better than my VHS copied to DVD-R that I've got now.

Speaking of spandex, there's also Slash Dance from 1989 (no not the Fulci flick of the same name) which is about a female undercover cop who takes an assignment at an old theater (as a dancer) where people are mysteriously getting murdered. It features the ladies from GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling) in many of the parts lol. I think it's only available on the Night Chills 10 movie pack.

Not safe for work

watched about half of The Majorettes and it's not that weird really, has the vibe of an old tv movie that could've be shown in the afternoon, except for the kills - some great scenes of terrible dubbing though

You should stick it out till the end - the weirdness definitely comes in. Out of nowhere, it pretty much switches from slasher to bad Rambo knock-off!
Check out my movie reviews and articles at: www.cinedump.com

Or, don\\\'t check them out - see if I care. You\\\'re not my real mom anyway. Unless, you are. In which case, whatever, I\\\'ll do what I want. It\\\'s my hot body. Y\\\'all don\\\'t know me.
