We had our first snow fall today. First time Ash has seen it. He loved going out and playing in it.

It's the end of May and I had to turn on my heater. It is 52F. It's been cold like this for the last two weeks and I don't mind at all.

Nice. It's been in the high 80s and warm enough for me to go swimming the past two days. Haven't had rain in quite a while, though.

Rather damp here, but we still went out for a long walk in the rain regardless.

Wet but warm. Drove the tractor into town to get rolling papers.

Our winter is here, I'm sure of it.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

No sooner did I post this then it started raining buckets and the temperature dropped almost ten degrees.

It smells.
No really.
Dogwood, crepe myrtles, roses, honeysuckle & things unknown are all in bloom.
It's like too many flavors at once.
Every time I step outside, it's like cheap incense & potpourri in a house full of dogs........

#1014
We had the coldest August since 2014. The average was 60F, which is on par with temps measured in August from 1961 to 1990 here in Germany. August also had the most rainfall in over 10 years.

Since the begginning of September temps went up to 77F which is still within tolerable for me.  My biggest concern is an unusual warm October. I hate those.
Is it October yet?

Trevor

Normal South African winter (although spring is here): cold in the morning, warm by 11 am.

It's been  :hot: until Wednesday, then rain yesterday and today

Picture postcard-perfect snow.
