If you are looking for a job, it is a lot easier to get a new one if you are currently in a job. Would it be worth working for them just as a stepping stone to somewhere else?

Me: Mom, do you have any children?
Mom [long pause]: No....
Me: Mom, there's a clue to the right answer in the question.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I was reading a WWII US war bride's account of her life, and she mentioned as soon as the war ended all references to it in most magazines seemed to instantly vanish, replaced by features about fashion and home decoration and sports, a complete flip from the past several years when articles related to the conflict dominated everything. Well when I read that it struck me that references to the pandemic have so disappeared in our popular culture it too might as well never have happened at all.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

If you search for the classical myth "Leda and the Swan," you get some remarkably graphic image results. Googler beware!

Not sure what I was gonna say, so I'm just gonna start blathering about a few things I was enlightened to this week...

I heard about this guy named Theodor Wonja Michael who was a black actor in Nazi Germany....
It seems, there weren't that many Afro-Germans at the time, so most of them escaped the camps by acting in propaganda films (with the principal roles usually going to white Germans in black face)...
Most noted, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1943)

I also heard that Chinese archeologists unearthed Unit 731, which was the Imperial Japanese version of Josef Mengele, and how they somehow weaseled out of the Nuremberg Trials.....

Just something y' never heard about in history class....
