from as young as I can remember, my mother would tell me she always knew if I was lying to her about something, because she said my nose would turn red... I assumed it was some unfortunate (or rightly deserved?) reaction to lying that I must be afflicted with... she kept this up all through my childhood. it wasn't till I was in my late 30s that she casually revealed one day that she'd made it up... as stupid as it sounds I really spent all that time think my nose turned red if I told a lie. 

it's not the kind of thing I could ever test or simulate by 'telling myself a lie' while looking in the mirror, because I'm pretty sure that's not how the mechanics of lying works.

Been wondering lately, why it is I see all kinds of pics on the internet of people who turned a bicycle into a riding mower, or people tried to turn their riding mower into a motorcycle, but I never find any pics of somebody who turned their motorcycle into a lawn mower.....

And for years, I've wondered why I can't mount a sickle bar on my car.....
