Can anyone remener the name of the planet HOWARD came from? a planet of intellegent ducks

It's really impossible NOT to be funny when reviewing this movie (check out the Nostalgia Critic's review). It's what the 1980s deserved. It's what any film buff must endure.
"Do you have something against droppings?" "Well, no, I..." "Sure, everyone says that till they step in it."

I still don't think it's that terrible.

And I like it way more than ANYTHING else George Lucas has done.

One of the few bad movies from the 80s I can't get into. God knows I tried many times though. I do like the soundtrack however.

How come you missed out the "RANDOM GRATUITOUS DUCK BREAST SHOT!" when Howard is being sucked out of his appartment and there is the lady duck having a bath? :]

Indeed, which renders this film totally unsuitable for kids. (Well, there's probably more reasons!)  :teddyr:

what, no mention of the duck tits?

I used to watch this movie ALOT when I was a kid. I like the Duck Tits shot and every time I really hoped that lea Thompson would be nude sometime...never happened though. No matter how many times I watched it.

this movie is proof George Lucus lost his marbles before thinking Jar Jar Binks was a good idea
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

Word.

Each to their own, but it amazes me how many people love and have fond memories of watching Howard the Duck. I'm always like "did I see a complete different movie?".

Love this movie! You said it all so I don't have to... I think I even still have a Howard the Duck trading card somewhere.

One thing though... I thought it was cotton pajamas that cause the dangerous combustible friction?? Heard it's so bad that you can be completely incinerated.

Felicity

Love it or hate it? I have mixed feelings. There's a lot to love about this movie but when the whole thing is over it just seems tiresome and mediocre. It's a conflicted experience.

Does the Howard easter egg at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy mean another movie is being planned at some point?

Could be? Despite all the hate the original movie got. Despite its relatively low return at the box office. The original film, or, at least, the character does have his fans.
Though, before we get a film starring Howard, he'll probably get another cameo in "Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2," which is scheduled for a 2017 release. And, of course, Howard was the first Marvel comics character to appear in a theatrical film. What might have been, if after this film, the powers that be decided to make no more films starring characters from the Marvel comics.
