There's a famous French novelist named Balzac.   English speakers have been making fun of his name for years.

HOMER: "Name one famous person who ever lived without air conditioning!"

MARGE: "Balzac."

HOMER: "No need for potty mouth, Marge."
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

It's not a bad band name but can someone tell me the reasoning behind calling your band "Queen"? What's the story with that?

They were originally called Smile. Freddie Mercury came up with the name for the band, saying: "Years ago I thought up the name 'Queen'. It's just a name, but it's very regal obviously, and it sounds splendid ... It's a strong name, very universal and immediate. It had a lot of visual potential and was open to all sorts of interpretations. I was certainly aware of gay connotations, but that was just one face of it."

I just heard of a local band, supposedly on its way 'up'.  Three young guys, fresh out of high school.  The name is The Breaking Wind. I cannot decide if that is as bad as I first thought it was.  Maybe just 'iffy'?
