Rev. Powell

We're entering the fall rainy season. It signals 5 more months of bad weather.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

The calendar may say it's approaching mid-November, but it feels like February in South Africa out there.

Cold turn here in the Deathlands of Kansas.

I mean, the highs are reasonable for fall, but the nights make me want to turn the heat on. Personally, I find it more fun to burrow under a blanket and drowse during movies.
I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago.

Deathlands? Cool name! Sounds like something out of Tolkien. "Take the Ring, Frodo, through the shadow of the Deathlands..." So where are these "Deathlands" of which you speak?

Enjoying the weather. Rain season with temps highest 10°C and lowest 2°C.
Is it October yet?

Alex

Overcast and damp. Expecting rain later.
Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

Trevor

Been cold and overcast today: much like my mood.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

-1°C this morning, 3°C at the moment. It is afternoon but very dark out.
Is it October yet?

Alex

Overcast and wet, but a lot warmer than it should be.
Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

Trevor

96 degrees Fahrenheit (36 degrees Celsius) here today  :buggedout: :hot: :hot: :hot:

So hot, my landlords gave me permission to use the pool today  :hot:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Alex

Just remember how cold winter was.
Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

We had our first snow this morning. It wasn't much, but forecast says there's more to come.
Is it October yet?

I would welcome it back right now.

I call all of Kansas "Deathlands", but the real Deathlands would actually be in Western Kansas, which is similar to Western Oklahoma. It is mostly flat and barren, and you get that gawd-awful red clay when you get closer to the Okie border. In that area at night, you will see a town/city in the distance. You think it is just up the road. Nearly 20-30 minutes later, the lights aren't any closer. Evil place.
