I love the 2004 ALAMO movie and have high regard for its historical accuracy, but it was a HUGE box office flop.

It always makes me    that in the John Wayne film,  you have a Lithuanian born, South African raised and educated Englishman playing Colonel Travis

Probably why the never made a good movie of the monitor vs the Virginia.

That could be a good one.
