Joseph Lai's Space Thunder Kids

A film already a combination of various South Korean anime. This film rips off Diaclone/Transformers G1, Mazinger Z, Tron and more.

We both posted the answer at the same minute.  :thumbup:

I'd say "Turkish Star Wars" but that one's a little too obvious

Population 436 (2006) uses the same plot line and characters from The Wicker Man (1973), and is actually not that bad for a direct-to-video production. That is, if you don't mind Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) trying to act for the first time.
Is it October yet?

Made-for-TV Never Cry Werewolf (2008) is another Fright Night (1985) rip-off. Also using the same characters.
Is it October yet?

bit of a random bump

just watched THE GLIMMER MAN (1996)

seen it before. but it is such a blatant rip off of SE7EN

* rainy/raining weather throughout

* serial killer inspired by the bible leaving victims in poses

* white cop / black cop team-up

* serial killer then gets personal and goes for someone close to cop

couldn't be more blatant! (except as far as I recall SE7EN doesn't have a running gag about eating powdered deer penis?)

I actually mention that movie in my book as it was Trevor Rabin's first movie score.

The Italians were the kings of this during the 80s. I remember several "Jaws" ripoffs, one of them causing potential trobule for "Jaws 3" because it was too similar. And last week I saw an "Alien 2" set in cave that was pretty boring, not like the other Italian "alien 2".

But the first thing that came to my mind when reading the title of the thread were the horror films that seemed inspired by "Gremlins", such as the "Critters" series or "Ghoulies".
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

oh yeah... surprisingly not mentioned yet.

for my money the first 2 CRITTERS movies are more enjoyable than the GREMLINS movies... even tho they clearly had less money. the crites are badass

Been pondering bringing Italian rip-offs...
Spaghetti pretty much sums it up...
Westerns, Mad Max, Zombies, Etc.
Some of the best cheap knock-offs....

I've never seen Run Lola Run, but I've been told Run (2016) was a rip-off,..,,.,.
