the insanely awesome Robo Vampire is a rip off of RoboCop
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

I believe in the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

There are a LOT of rip offs of Robocop!

Just off the top of my head, there's also Android Cop by the Asylum, the infamous R.O.T.O.R., The Demolitionist, and the Japanese movie Lady Battle Cop.

All those Italian zombie movies ripped off NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and DAWN OF THE DEAD. Before that, zombies didn't eat people.

The often unspoken genre of Home Alone rip offs:

Now we could 100% argue Home Alone is a rip off of a French film called Deadly Games (1989) aka 3615 code Père Noël but with Home Alone being the bigger name....we will go with that.

Ken Russell's the DEVILS (1971) spawned countless nunsploitation movies.

LOVE CAMP 7 (1969) was the first Nazisploitation movie.

I don't know how many f**king STAR WARS rip-offs there are.
Hate STAR WARS.  :hatred:
Of course that was a FLASH GORDON (1936) rip off. Instead of Ming the Merciless, you get Darth Vader.
It even ripped off the Flash Gordon opening text crawl-

CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON spawned the MONSTER OF PIEDRAS BLANCAS (1959), HORROR OF PARTY BEACH (1964), OCTOMAN (1971), HUMANOIDS OF THE DEEP (1980), and countless others.

hmm. I wouldn't call THE OMEN a rip off of ROSEMARY'S BABY for the simple reason that RB does not focus on the actual child at all really...

however I would call I DON'T WANT TO BE BORN a rip off of THE OMEN :)

edit - well, I would do, except apparently IDWTBB came before THE OMEN!... doh.

The First Blood/Rambo rip off Trilogy. Thunder/Thunder Warrior

I have seen the first two but have yet to find the third film in the serious (only copy I've found was in Italian with no subtitles).

Lucas had wanted to make Flash Gordon, but lost out in the bidding so he made Star Wars to be as close to the Saturday morning serials he'd watched as a kid.
