According to Terminator 2, Judgement Day was supposed to happen in 1997.  Later sequels and spin-offs would push it back to 2003, 2004, 2011, and 2017.  We managed to avoid a lot of Judgement Days so far.

Back to the Future 2 showed us we were supposed to have flying cars and hover boards in 2015.

Star Trek told us there was going to be Eugenics Wars (that conflict that Khan was created for) sometime between 1992 and 1996.

So, what other futures from movies are now in our past?

I keep seeing a meme that says Mad Max was set in 2020...

The Running Man starts with a text card which reads:
"By 2017 the world economy has collapsed. Food, natural resources, and oil are in short supply. A police state, divided into paramilitary zones, rules with an iron hand."

The Batman Beyond cartoon series is set in the dystopian Gotham City of 2019.

JUST IMAGINE (1930) is set in 1980, and had us flying in one man individual planes and flying to Mars.
And Mars has some crazy styles!

FARENHIET 451  (1966) , where books are banned and burned, takes place in 2022. And now certain parts of the Republican party are practicing that very thing!
