With due respect Wikipedia  :bouncegiggle: at least 4 or 5 of these are definitely not slasher films. Maybe you could say they are horror films somewhat promoted in a slasher-y way during the Golden Age...?

Also, sincerely not trying to troll ZNO, but... as I was clicking selections, I got past PROM NIGHT and TOURIST TRAIN to GRADUATION DAY and automatically thought, "Oh yeah, this one's the worst!" But to each their own!

The Comeback isn't a great movie but that ending 😳😳😳

man I love GRADUATION DAY. it's honestly one of those films where I seem to notice something new every time I watch it haha... yeah it's an all time fav. even taught myself how to play Felony - Gangster Rock

a slasher mashup? ...or 'smasher' ?  :teddyr:

not the most terrifying sounding one though....

how about DEADLY TOOLBOX

26.

TOURIST TRAP is the best of that list.
And why it's under "Bad" is beyond me. It's an excellent film.
Not one of these lists has had EATEN ALIVE (1978) listed, by Tobe Hooper. For shame!
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

looked through my collection and I reckon 1983's A BLADE IN THE DARK would qualify... not on any of the 3 polls... (unless I'm being daft and missed it)

LOL, good catch. They are right next to each other in the poll!

I meant TERROR TRAIN... very boring... as is PROM NIGHT... maybe I need to revisit GRADUATION DAY...  ...Perhaps it was much, much too subtle for 8 or 10 year old 10RDA...

But, to put RCM's nerves to rest, I was probably 6-8 when I first saw TOURIST TRAP and I loved it and still love it. Agreed, great weird movie!

Yeah, somewhat overlooked when making these polls. A Blade in the Dark wasn't good but had a few good moments.

I have a VIPCO release copy which probably means it's cut to shreds.... might have to invest in a newer uncut release. it has some brilliantly awful dialogue

no sarcasm detected at all  :bouncegiggle:

well it's more intricate than something like say FINAL EXAM, which is pretty much 'nasty bad guy is bad! ...because nasty!'

M.10rda

I guess sarcasm could be inferred in my comment, but, on the other hand, I was definitely watching it primarily to see a violent murder every 5-10 minutes and perhaps some nudity into the bargain, and when it didn't deliver on those expectations, I condemned it! I was a very single-minded 6-8 year old.......

FatFreddysCat

I've seen 46. "MADMAN" belongs on the "good" list in the other thread, though.
"If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

The TOOLBOX MURDERS and ALONE IN THE DARK are both fantastic movies and most certainly do not belong on the "Bad" list.
Heck- ALONE IN THE DARK has Jack Palance, Martin Landau, and Donald Pleasance giving stellar performances!
And Cameron Mitchell singing "I Feel Like a Motherless Child" while slurping a lollipop in TOOLBOX is classic.
