I found this site yesterday and was amazed - probably the best site ont he whole damn Internet! I laughed my head off at some of the reviews, especially Robochic. Well anyway, it made so inspired that I rushed away and rented two movies, one of them called "Rawhead Rex". The cover was totally soiled by earlier renters who had written their reviews on it, such as "what do you say - magnificent!", "the best movie I've seen since Plan 9 from Outer Space", "f**king s**t movie", "watch & enjoy!", &c  On the cover you can see what makes this a true B-movie - an awful looking latex monster. The plot is as follows - a professor w wife and two children comes to a village in Ireland. At the same time some irish bumpkins manages to wake up a demon. It possesses some, kills most of the others including the professor's son so now he has to stop it. Did I mention that the monster looks green plastic gorilla on steroids with a bizarre eighties haircut? Acting: pretty decent  Gore: very little,  Nudity: very little, Memorable quotes:  Priest: "But you're one of God's teachers!", possessed sexton: "God!? HE is God!!!" (meaning the aforementioned latex gorilla). Surprise: the screenplay is written by Clive Barker!

Also based on a short story by Clive Barker. I liked when the creature was supposedly trashing a house, the guy in the suit was just casually knocking things off the shelves. It was as if the director told him; "Ok Heinrich, mess up the kitchen, but don't wreck it. We might need if for reshoots if the zipper on the costume pops open".

According to a comment on IMBD

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0091829

Clive Barker protested how the film turned out. Gosh I wonder why? I loved the cover on the swedish edition, it didn't try to deceive at all, it simply showed a close up photo of the monster in all it's suckiness. And the picture on the back looked even worse.
