I was re-watching  The Punisher (1989) earlier today and (SPOILERS AHEAD!) near the end when Lady Tanaka is killed by the throwing knife to the head, I started wondering what some of my favorite "defeated" moments in movies were.  I thought it might be cool to make a list of the best moments in film where something or somebody is defeated.  It does not have to be bad or evil to count.  It can be anything you like as long as it is defeated or overcome.  I don't care how long this list becomes.

  1.  (SPOILERS!)  Movie: Big Trouble In Little China  (1986)

Defeat Moment:  This is very similar to the Punisher killing Lady Tanaka.  Jack Burton (the hero) throws a knife at the evil Lo Pan and misses.  Lo Pan picks it up, says "It's a good knife", and throws it at Jack who catches it.  He throws it at Lo Pan and kills him because he got him in the middle of the forehead. He turns to his friend and says "It's all in the reflexes."

It probably is one of my favorite movies.

What are your favorite "defeat" scenes?

My favorite "defeat" scene is - The pyramid head skin ripping scene from Silent Hill the movie.

I also like Day of the Dead's death Of Captain Rhodes scene - He was ripped apart by zombies.

I'm not sure if the Mods would approve of those videos posted here though.

I'd say Biff Tannen from the Back to the Future trilogy was defeated nearly as often as most slasher villains. And while the many defeats involving poo were entertaining, my favorite was that haymaker George McFly threw in part one. He knocked Biff good.

I'm not sure if the Mods would approve of those videos posted here though.

Short clips are generally fine, or links clearly marked NSFW if they contain R-rated material.  I wouldn't link to the entire pirated copy of a movie.

The best defeat that I enjoy watching is in Stalag 17 when Sefton proves that Price is the spy in the barracks and they toss him out into the yard with tin cups tied to his legs. The sheer look of defeat on the Stalag commandant, Col. von Scherbach when he discovers that his guards have just killed his spy is great.

This not a major defeat of evil by good, but it is one of my favorite Connor moments from "Primeval".

Here's some good ones...

The ironic (and accidental) way Hi takes out Leonard Smalls (the biker guy) in Raising Arizona.

Milo in the Last Boy Scout gets punches repeatedly, shot, then falls off a large balcony right into the propeller blades of a helicopter!

The "Stone Guy" (can't recall his name) from Ninja Scroll.

Walter Kowalkski and the Hmong gang bangers in "Gran Torino". I found it on you tube, probably not safe for work, but in addition to bad language, posting it here will spoil the film, you have to watch the entire movie to appreciate the end.
However, for those who can't resist, here is a link to the video:
