Every hardcore PETA member I have ever met tend to be people I would not like to be alone with. They frighten the hell out of me. The basic ideals of the organization are good, but the tactics they use are along the lines of the Hitler Youth groups. Their basic attitude (and keep in mind I am referring to the hardcore members, not the ones who donate because it seems like a worthwhile idea) is that they have a superior stance and anyone or anything in their way is wrong and should be put aside. If that includes terrorism, arson, breaking and entering and endangering the lives of people as well as animals, then so be it.
Giving animals their due is great. Treating them with respect is the only right thing to due. Abusing others, their property or the law is not the way to do things.
As far as this article goes, I would need to spend more time researching it than I care to spend. It is just another bit of mud-slinging. Go with your beliefs and stick to that. Smearing the other guy to make yourself look better isn't acceptable either.
