A silent Beast of Yucca Flats wouldn't have any "progress" or "soda for pigs"
Ah, but that is where you are wrong - progress (and dehumanization as a result of it) is the central theme of the film, at least so far as the film has a theme. I included as much of Coleman Francis' narrative rambling as I could in the guise of italicized exposition and, I assure you, there is plenty of progress and no shortage of patrolmen or vacationers caught in it.
Did you transcibe the dialogue exactly as the narrator spoke irt?
The majority of it is, though I did make changes here and there, like adding the line "Run them off the road!" during the car chase and referencing the immortal "flag on the moon" line in a fabricated conversation between the KGB agents in the opening.
Interesting experiment - I commend you for trying it out. I like the tinting and the title screens, though I confess I don't have the time or the paience to watch it from start to finish right at this moment.
Thanks!
Kindest regards,
Kevin P.
