High Tension (2003)

HIGH TENSION (2003) - Good French Horror film. It had many tense moments no doubt. Many grusome scenes. Don't know what to say. Kinda like a JEEPERS CREEPERS with that creepy truck minus the creature. I'm not saying it's a great great film, but that it's a good horror film. That's about it. As far as entertainment value I think THE DEVILS REJECTS was a better film.

I've wanted to see this since one of our members mentioned he was very disturbed by it. Now when you said you liked it like "Jeepers Creepers" I went "I dunno" since I didn't like Jeepers all that much.

Well, don't compare the film to JEEPERS CREEPERS as it is of a different quality and the only similarity is the vehicle element of the film.

I saw this in the video store the other day and have been thinking of seeing it. I understand that Gianetto de Rossi (Fulci's Zombie did the gore special effects for this.

It works / feels more than like an old Tobe Hooper film rather than a like a modern mainstream slasher, I don't really agree with the Jeepers Creepers comparison. Very good film, and really, really disturbing, be warned. People on this board seemed to both hate it or love it. I'm with the second group, but I'm not watching it again anytime soon.

Menard! Go rent it ASAP! Why are you on the board when you could be watching Haute Tension!? Go rent it now!

I'm a huge fan of High (Haute) Tension, as I've mentioned numerous times on this board. The film really took me by surprise and I had really enjoyed how much the film shook me up. It's not a pretty film, and is quite violent but is well worth watching.

Skaboi really hyped this movie that I bought it on bootleg at a comic convention and saw it when it was in thearters. I really enjoyed it myself.
