DISCO GODFATHER (1977)

Here is another BAD blaxploitation movie starring Rudy Ray Moore (DOLEMITE, THE HUMAN TORNADO, etc.)

Rudy stars as the owner of a disco (where he is also the DJ).  His nephew, a promising young athlete, is rushed to the hospital after he smokes Angel Dust.  Rudy goes berserk and wages war against the drug pushers!

The dialogue is really bad as Rudy pontificates against drug use.  

Some of the Angel Dust victims act like they are completely brain dead.  Others act like they are possessed by demons!

The movie is padded with useless scenes of people disco dancing and disco rollerskating.  Ocasionally, scenes of a demon-like woman are intercut with the action.  There are also a few cheesy animated special effects.

All of Rudy's movies are bad (at least the ones I've seen), but at least they are fun to watch.  Except for DISCO GODFATHER, which is just a painful experience from beginning to end.

DOLEMITE is a fun film starring Rudy Ray Moore. Would like to see all Moore's and Williamson films and also all Pam Grier films.
