After seeing TITANIC, it was hard for me to take DeCaprio seriously.  I don't recall actively disliking him, but I didn't like him in positive sense enough to seek out his movies.

Then I saw THE DAPARTED, and I said to myself, "dang, this boy CAN act."  Good film.

After that, I decided to give him a chance on my "serious actor" list.  CATCH ME IF YOU CAN and BLOOD DIAMOND cinched it; I was blown away by BODY OF LIES.

Little different than the topic called for, I guess, but I went into THE DEPARTED convinced I would not like him in that role.  It helps to keep an open mind.

Friends, I also don't like Nic Cage, but I thought he did his job alright in Con Air.

I don't like Gwenyth Paltrow either but pepper Potts was a good character.
