What a strange movie indeed where a noted "film doctor" directed a film which was worse than the films he rescued.

The dude playing the axe murderer was a South African stuntman called Solly Marx 😳😉

They shot part of that movie at my alma mater (Wagner College in Staten Island, NY)! It was a few years before I went there, though.

I didn't know about it till years later when I was watching the movie on Tubi and thought "Hey, that building looks familiar... so does that one... what the hell?"  Smile

The original red poster/VHS cover always confused me. It seemed impossibly similar to the poster for SHOCK TREATMENT featuring Richard O'Brien's grinning face. Couldn't be a coincidence, but - why???  Question

Dull and not very memorable slasher. It was a zoomed-in nightmare to watch on VHS back in the day.

They did a great restoration job for the Blu-ray, though.

👍 I always like the fact that a South African born stuntman played the killer 😂

I don't even know why Shock Treatment went with that cover, much less why anyone would want to copy it.

My headcanon is that Richard O'Brien described his ideal poster to the PR department and it was something that approximated the poster for APOCALYPSE NOW only w/ his face instead of Brando's and somehow the product ended up the way it ended up.......
