Hey peoples! Fangoria #216 features an incredible 7 1/2 page article that is the first part of a TWO part series on William Girdler.
The article was written by yours truly and co-penned by Al Adamson biographer David Konow. It's teeming with new interviews, photos, and cool stuff.
Part One officially hits the stands on Tuesday, but I found a copy at Suncoast tonight in Philly. So it's out and about. "Hannibal" is on the cover. Part Two comes out in October.
Can you believe it? Fifteen full-color Fango pages for Girdler within the span of two months! Fantastic!!
Anyway, I hope Andrew doesn't mind me pitching the piece here. I just think it's cool that Fangoria is doing it at all, let alone at this scale. The article alone is worth the cover price -- it's first-rate, super-slick, and super LONG.
So grab a Fangoria with Hannibal on the cover in September and spend some quiet time getting to know William Girdler ... without having to stare at a computer monitor for a change.
Oh yeah, and there's some stuff about Bruce Campbell and The Ring in Fango, too, but like, who cares, right? Girdler Girdler Girdler Girdler Girdler ....
