ER: your last two comments show clearly you are missing the point.  I'm sorry I have not been able to communicate it better.  I do not feel any need to go into it further.

The guy I talked to today said that I shouldn't be embarrassed by what job I should have. Does this apply for the same thing as working at a sex shop and explaining that you work in a sex shop?

One of the many (many many many and did I mention many) things that bugs me about this casting decision on Doctor Who (or the show occupying that name these days) is how it retroactively invalidated a firmly established law of the Time Lords.

If someone remembers, back in or just after the Keys To Time series/season, with Tom Baker and Romana, Romana, herself a Time Lady, lamented that she could not turn into a man, and the iconic fourth Doctor spoke about how gender-shifting was impossible for Galifreyans. (I think I have my ducks in a row there, I was only about seven when I saw it.)

I do remember that being an issue as I started my fandom when Tom Baker came on the scene. Personally, I always envisioned the Doctor being exposed to some trans-dimensional virus or radiation that would result in a change in his regeneration cycle.

If I'm not mistaken, the Doctor HAS been exposed to many things of a trans-dimensional nature, especially since the show was brought back for its second life. There was even an exposure to the core of the TARDIS, at least once, which resulted in a number of ripples throughout the Who Universe, most notably the whole "Bad Wolf" cycle.

Is a female Doctor directly possible, as stated by previous episodes? Not for the race in regular situations. But, when you take into account a number of events in just the last four incarnations, gender-shifting is a reasonable mutation.

Oh, random thought.

Umm.....

Do turtles ever think to themselves, "Jeez, if only I could move faster!"?

I can't read my own handwriting. Does anyone have any idea what I might have meant by "Mom's sybaritic warning - Arrabal used the facial lakes"?

Newt, honey, if you think there is no difference in men and women, you have not been paying enough attention in life.

Well, sweetie, it becomes debatable as to just who has not been paying attention.  In terms of behaviour (and physical characterisitics as well for that matter but let's not get too anthropological) the current trend is to see all humanity as being on a broad spectrum.  There is a great deal of overlap and one category blends into the next. Making generalisations based upon what group an individual may appear to belong to is so passé.
Hummm...Behavior comes from the mind, so the actions a body takes comes from within. The actions that cause damage to the body, are based on choices.
To choose to do things that cause such effects are like a person trying to, say, use a Cessna to do the job of a Boeing 767, or a sports car to do the job of a pickup truck.
It's an imperfect analogy (all are), but reality is- Men and women are structurally different, and societal rules and teaching exist to deal with that.
Women have babies, men don't. To try and ignore those facts is, as out favorite Vulcan said, 'Highly Illogical.'

Why is "not giving a rat's @$$" a bad thing?

Does anybody really want you to give them a rat's @$$?

What would they do with it?

O!-Maw!-Gawd! That was a big spider in our sink! Think throw pillow with legs. Barely got the Dixie cup over it to escort it outside. If it had scurried past and gone up the kitchen curtains it'd been WWIII trying to get it out of there. I love living next to woods, but ye jeebers we get a lot of spiders in the house in summers.

My wife has developed a habit over the past few weeks of trying to bite me. Started with my butt, then in the last week she tried to bite my nipple and recently my cheek.

This is reminding me of way too many movies I own.

On the plus side I guess its better than the girlfriend I had many years ago, who I would wake up and find she'd cut my shoulder with a razor blade and was licking the blood.

I really wish she was the weirdest girlfriend I'd ever had.

I just got asked to go shooting today with my friend, who said, "Come to the range with me. I'm a PMS-ing Jewish princess with a .38 and a mint condition VISA, it'll be fun."

Welp, been nice knowing you guys.
