Well, I have one scheduled for tomorrow. (Just the regular screening they recommend everyone get at 50.)

Today I have to semi-fast all day: clear liquids (broth, jello, juice) only. Then, starting around 6, I have to take a super-laxative that's supposed to totally clean you out, and leave you sitting on the toilet for 2 hours. Procedure tomorrow.

Assuming they find no cancer, I won't have to have another one for 10 years.

I assume some of you older folks have had this thing. I'd say it's a medium-sized inconvenience, but at least it will be over soon.

One thing to look forward to, Craig Ferguson said they inflate you inside with gas, and a cool doctor will let you pick a scent additive, so he got to spend the next day letting farts that smelled like bubble gum.

Pick something awesome, Rev, and let it blast!

(And hey, good job on doing this and I'm sure all will be well.)

The taste is not nearly as bad as I feared. Of course they want me to drink 3-4 liters of the stuff in 2 hours, so I bet it gets old.

I sincerely hope you're joking.

Anyway, the "cleanse" wasn't too bad. Worst part was I had a few minutes of moderate abdominal pain/cramps right before the floodgates opened. I don't feel hungry because I'm still feeling bloated from all the liquid I had to drink.
