I've been listening to a lot of old cassette tapes that I've never heard until recently.
Most of them come from my dad:

Invisible Touch - Genesis (OK, but not that good)

Synchronicity - The Police (Halfway to OK)

 CDs:

The Essential Weird Al Yankovic - Weird Al Yankovic (Love it!)

Dare To Be Stupid - Weird Al Yankovic (Love it! I will definitely be purchasing more Weird Al CDs in the future!)

Cassette:

Movie Soundtrack: The Sting (1973) (Great!)

CDs:

Van Halen - Van Halen (Great!)

Dokken's "Erase The Slate" album from about '99. The band brought in Reb Beach of Winger fame on guitar and pretty much recaptured alot of what was good about their quirky 80s sound. I've been really impressed at the real heaviness of this record in comparison to "Long Way From Home" and "Shadowlife" and there's a dark Beatle-esque vibe going on.  Thumbup

"Love Warriors" by Tuck & Patti.  Kind of New-Agey lyrics, but Patti's voice is fantastic; sort of a guilty pleasure.

"Evanescence" by Maria Schneider.  This is NOT a guilty pleasure, it's a proud pleasure.  Tribute to Gil Evans by (IMO) the best jazz arranger of our generation.

"A Tribute to Miles" by Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Wallace Roney, And Tony Williams

And while the REV is usually, but not always, listening to Jazz (and great Jazz at that) I'm mostly listening to Pop.

Thanks... I go through a lot of phases where I'll listen to a bunch of jazz or classical at one time, then switch off to another genre.

Now (more jazz):

Windham Hill Essential Series: The Turtle Island String Quartet

"Sketches of Spain" by Miles Davis (the perfect album?)

"The Doors" by The Doors.  Change of pace.

Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection
Man, this is a great record!  I'm pretty much unfamiliar with his music outside of all the singles, and nothing's ever played off of this album or appears on compilations, but it's an exceptional rock album.

Small | Large

Listening to this as I'm typing:

Firehouse - Hold Your Fire
I think Circus is having some sort of subconcious effect on me.  I spotted this for 99 cents in a thrift store and thought, "Why not?"  So far it's maybe a little too meat-headed for my taste but I do genuinely like some of it!

Just been listening to DCA's drum and bass mix from his sig. Cool tracks in there man. I'm into drum and bass but I come from a hardcore techno background so like the rough stuff like Hidden, Eye-D, Edgey, SPL, Supply Module, The Outside Agency, Evol Intent, Temper D, Noisia, Counterstrike, Current Value etc
