Great little politically charged hip-hop album.  It's not normally the type of music I dig on, but it's surprising just how much play it has gotten from me.

Handlebars:
Small | Large

Ok, I've never liked New Found Glory.  They've always been way too damn pop for my tastes.  This latest album is a bit of an oddity.  The NFG portion of the album is mainly covers of some great songs, including a decent cover of Gorilla Biscuits' 'No Reason Why'.  The other half of the album is from a fictional band, The International Superheroes Of Hardcore which is extremely interesting.  TISHOC is a fictional band made up of the members of New Found Glory.  Basically it's a hilarious send up of the hardcore punk scene.  I really like this album, highly recommended.

That friggin' Handle Bars song is all over my flippin' town. Not realy my thing, but not bad.

As for New Found Gory, well ive never been able to stand any of that whiney pop "punk" stuff.

Quite like both groups.  Thing is though, Flobots aren't well known, and I was listening to the radio one night at work when "Handlebars" came on the radio.  Myself and one other person knew who they were, and we started rapping along.  Others just looked in a horrified silence at us, as they had no idea who the group was.  Even downloaded that as a ringtone.

Great little Indie-Pop record.  Only went gold here, but it's worth a spin.

She's widely acknowledged as the queen of the Portuguese ballad style "fado," so if you have any interest in that sort of music, or international folk music in general, go for it!
