Anyone grow up eating this crap? My favorite was probably Cookie Crisp, though Lucky Charms were certainly the flyest marshmallow cereal

spent a couple weeks at my grandparents circa 35+ years ago and indulged in this

Most cereals are the epitome of junk food, and I won't let them in my house. Every time I pick up a crate of donated Glazed Frosted Sugar Missiles or whatever I feel bad for the people who'll get it at the pantry. Ye gods, and we look down on the Romans for drinking from lead pipes? Our society is toxic through and through. Even ketchup is a land mine of sugar and salt and disease-fostering deliciousness danger in a bottle. Run! Save yourselves! Stop eating! Die emaciated and healthy! Let's see those bones through your skin, man, let's go all Andes plane crash survivor physique! Perfect teeth, low bone density, wispy and skinny as a rail, hair falling out but heart disease-free! Make it your goal!

What was I saying? Oh, yeah! Breakfast cereal is amazing stuff. I love it.

Not big on sugary cereals.
I like Raisen Bran.
I rarely use sugar on anything. I don't drink pop even.

As a kid my favorites were Frosted Flakes, King Vitamin and Lucky Charms.

So healthy! It's got vitamins!

Today I will occasionally buy a box for nostalgia's sake. Takes me forever to get through one, though. I do like Raisin Bran.

Oh yeah, been through almost all of 'em when I was a kid....
I was into these for a while...

And I remember when they tried to tell kids that sugar cereal "wasn't junk food...

And then there's that one that the president brought up....

I will often get bran flakes.  I don't really need sugary crap.

But if it goes on sale..
COCOA/FRUITY PEBBLES, HONEYCOMB (Honeycomb's big!  Yeah yeah yeah!  It's not small!  No no no!), and the nutritionally absent HONEY MAID S'MORES cereal.

One of my all-time favorites was the aforementioned E.T. cereal, and also this baby:
HALFSIES
Purported to be half the sugar of other cereals.. sure as s**t didn't taste like it!  One of those "Nutrasweet"-flavored products:

I remember the cool contest where you could win an arcade game (STAR TREK, PENGO or SUPER ZAXXON).  I would eventually settle for DIG DUG, NEO-GEO (with 16 or so games) and PHOENIX.

Also liked ROCKY ROAD:

Reminds me of that ad for LIFE cereal....
Two kids who don't want to eat a sugar cereal because "It's supposed to be good for ya"....

I remember some of these better than others. Sugar corn pops I think I remember. Rocky Road I might but can't be sure

fact: fruit loops all taste the same regardless of color
