Bringing the trash home!

Hello all!

I am new to these forums, but have been a big fan of the site for years. So much so infact, that it inspired me to bring some of these wonderfully bad movies to a wider audience.

And so I invented the Edinburgh B-Team!

We have been running a weekly double bill of all manner of wonderful b-movies for over 2 years now, and have attracted a regular crowd of at least 25 people a week, with over 300 people joining our group on Facebook.

So I thought it time to mention our goings on to you good people. I realise that a lot of you live in America or places other than Scotland, but if you should ever find yourself in my fair country, please drop by and you will be a guest of honour.

Keep watching what no-one else will!

Robbie McKay

I'm also actually Scottish and it's nice to hear about other b-movie fans in the country who have taken their interest to a more organized level.

Thats awesome, I was sure there'd be more than just me on here. I'm looking to expand the B-Team idea to other cities (with Glasgow, Manchester and Aberdeen as potentials). Reckon it'd be something you'd be interested in being a part of?

Also, we have a few webpages for those who are interested in finding out more, just look us up on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace :)

No problem, expanding the team could be a good idea, especially within Scotland, I was just checking out your Facebook page right now. It looks like something that I might be interested in under certain circumstances although my student days are a bit behind me now.

Much appreciated Doggett and JJ80 :)

If anybody is interested in getting involved, drop me a line at theedinburghbteam@hotmail.com, and we can talk it through. So long as you have a pretty keen interest in wonderful b-movies, we can help with the rest.

And JJ80, you'd be surprised at how many people who attend aren't students. We get a few appearing each week, but the majority are working folks, and we have a few regulars who are older too. We show a wide range of films, so different people turn up for different things.

The main problem for me is that I live in Cumbernauld and so getting to Edinburgh isn't terribly convenient although I did become a friend of your team on Facebook. I did notice there that you had commendably varied tastes in b-movies though!
