Despite the fact that I love black metal, I have to admit it gets pretty damn goofy sometimes.  Check out the link above, and prepare to laugh yourself into a hernia.

Thanks for the laugh... I love metal too, but you have to laugh at the bands when they get carried away with themselves like that...

Hilarious. I'm not a big fan of black metal, but love avant-garde black metal (they rarely wear corpse paint, so I could laugh at these guys).

There's an Immortal pic on the net somewhere, where one of them is tryng to look all badass with an axe and his fly was open, hah. Wish that was on there.

Um...that fly-down pic from Immortal is on there.  It's the very first one, in fact.
By avant-garde black metal, you mean like Peccatum, Hollenthon, etc?

Don't really listen to much black metal...I am a bit older and metallica, Bad Brains, Slayer, Nausea...and the like is what I remember back in the day.

But, regardless if I do not know any of the bands...the commentaries on the pics were down right hilarious!  Thanks for the laugh

IMMORTAL: THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONS OF THE BLACK METAL WORLD! I think it's the third Immortal pic where if you scroll your mouse over it, a picture appears where one of them as a wrestling title around their waist.

heh, wow, I must of scrolled down to fast to notice it, I just went back and saw it

Peccatum is avant bm. I think Hollenthon is symphonic melodic death, haven't heard much from them. Avant-garde black metal is like Arcturus, Ephel Duath, In the Woods, Solefald, Ram-Zet and my favorite, Diabolical Masquerade cause they combine horror movie scores to their music.

Hollenthon is basically Pungent Stench music with Martin Schirenc stealing classical pieces and monk chant samples to add to it.  It's still more black than death.
