OK, let's say there is solar radiation or whatever that creates zombies.  Now suppose you're in a museum when this happens, and there are mummies in the museum.
Would the mummies get turned into zombies?
Since animated mummies are "evil" and zombies are "evil" would these hybrids be super evil, or would the two evilnessess cancel each other out and the hybrids wind up being good.
And what to call such a creature, a zummy?  zommy? mummbie?

Good points but I wouldn't worry about a re-animated mummy (other than his possible mystical powers) because I'm fairly sure you could turn them into dust with little effort.

well, it depends on who's "rules" you follow. traditionally, zombies can be killed only by destroying the brain. logic suggests then, that a corpse needs to have a brain in order to be reanimated, thereby disqualifying mummies as potential threats.

on the other hand, it wouldn't be odd to see zombie mummies in the "return of the living dead" series, as they've repeatedly illustrated that reanimated corpses can operate independant of the brain.

Well, usually in most zombie lore the brain needs to be relatively intact for a zombie to occur, so I guess that leaves mummies out.

Unless of course, you're in a Fulchi film, then all bets are off.  You can get long dead zombies from the conquistador age with uncanny sense of dramatic timing  (been laying in the ground for centuries, but only pop up when human's get near.)

Even better: The Attack of the Zombie Bunnies. That should put Night of the Lepus to shame!
