It 's about a weired little puppt that this lady buys and brings it home. When she sets it down and goes to the shower (bad move) she hears a noise. She goes to see what it was and all the forks and knifes are on the floor and the puppet is gone. She relizes that her largest knife is gone and runs straight for the shower. She locks the door and sees that the puppet is reaching in the door. And thats all i can remember.  I saw this a while back on HBO and loved the heck out of it. Wish i  would of taped it and if anyone knows about please respond. Or e-mail me. And if you have a copy of it ill trade you or even buy it. PLease respond if you know..

If it's NOT Trilogy of Terror, it's most certainly a knock-off.

There was a second Trilogy of Terror made in the early 90's -- made for cable, I think. It has a killer doll scene almost exactly the same as the first flick -- I think the "sequel" takes place later that same night in fact.

I remember an HBO short from early 80's where this guy leaves a film can outside his room and the film leaps out of the cans, like "Wizard of speed and time", and goes under the door into the room where it chokes the guy to death in stop motion. Very cool stuff I wish I would of Beta taped all that cool stuff, too bad I was too young to know what the heck I was doing. "Not Necessarily the News" was another one of those cool shows where they would make fun of Reagan footage doing it in a MST style.

This same exact short was brought up a few months ago by someone else who said almost the same exact things you mentioned. Check under my nic statcat to find it  because I did respond to it at least twice.

The story in trilogy of terror 2 takes place the night after the first movie or so after the police discover the bodies and the doll.  Its brought to a lab to be tested and examined and sure enough it goes on a frenzy again.
