Yeah so I am on another site and someone is trying to talk about how gory and scary that awful movie Hostel was.  Went on and on about the eye scene.  But then I realized there WAS something scary about that movie....ya'll remember the herpes growth on that dude's lip?  Now that was scary...gave me the heebie jeebies for sure!  As for the rest I would have rather wasted my money watching something more entertaining like Freddy vs. Jason!

Gory, scary and awful?  Sure it had gore, and that eye scene was a bit nasty, but it was way too fantatiscal to be believable: I actually laughed because it reminded me so much of Braindead.  Then I laughed a bit more when I saw in the credits 'Thanks to Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh'.

But despite it's flaws [and believe me there are many], I still found it tons more entertaining than Freddy Vs. Jason [though I admit I never really cared for either series anyway]
