Not surprisingly, a Greek film. It is supposed to be a parody on movies like the Attack of the 50 ft Woman. An alien from a flying saucer gets mixed up with a piece of moussaka, which grows to gigantic proportions and terrorises Athens.

It is not as good as it could be. The whole atmosphere is deliberately camp, with gay scientists in bright pink lab coats, and the aliens are bimbos in their underwear. There is some sniping at politics and the media. However, it is nowhere more than mildly amusing. Either the satire should be more delevoped, and then more attention should have been paid to the script. Or the makers should have gone for madness and put in more silly moments, like the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

Still, the scenes of the moussaka wandering through Athens, killing everyone with squirts of deadly sauce, are worth it.

See it if you have to occassion, but don't pay for it.

Hmmm. A Greek film made in 2000 that resembles 50's horror. It is getting fun reviews at imdb.com. Might have to put this one on my list. ATTACK OF THE GIANT MOUSSAKA. Thanks for bringing it to our attention AlexB.
