Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

« on: May 25, 2006, 11:24:05 PM »

I think I was about three or four or so when I saw this one at the drive-in with my folks, so the details are a bit fuzzy.
Here's what I recall:

A group of young women are riding on a short bus.
The bus breaks down.
A biker gang rides up, and after having a word with the bus driver, they tie their bikes to the bus & tow it to a nearby mechanic.
While at the mechanic's, the leader of the biker gang lets the air out of a pneumatic jack, causing a car to fall on the mechanic, killing him.

Later on, the bikers get into some kind of disagreement with the bus driver & start teasing him. Two of them get on their bikes & start playing chicken with him. One of the bikers knocks him over, and the biker behind him runs over him, breaking his neck.

The bikers take the women to an abandoned house in the woods. At one point, one of the women escapes. The leader of the gang chases her down & kills her, then dumps her body in a nearby stream.

The ending, as I recall, has the leader of the biker gang in a fight with some other guy while a couple the women look on. The gang leader gets killed, though I can't quite recall how. I think he gets stabbed in the stomach or something.

My best guess as to the timeline would've been between '73 & '75.
Ring any bells?

Most of the elements sound about right.
