and building super size nests! Read the article, sounds like good fodder for a B-movie, especially considering the fact that yellow jackets are carnivorous. Maybe those damned squirrels are now recruiting among the insect world.

Is Lou Diamond Phillips available for the film?
Actually, a car sized nest is amzing stuff.   We had a horrible year for bees and wasps last year so I can sympathize.  I'm not scared or allergic, and it was still scary

Good thing I'm in the northern third of the state. Although I have been fighting a drawn out guerilla war with the dirt dobbers around here lately.

Lou Diamond Phillips is a good start, if he isn't in jail for whipping up on his girlfriend. How about Gary Busey ans the crazed scientist who develops a starnge overidentification and evetually loyalty to the yellow jackets. For the exciting climax they could attack the annual Iron Bowl game if it weren't too cold in November for them, say mutant yellow jackets and global warming.
