I've always thought of it as "your preferences are the things you like even when they're not  very good".

Definitely try www.movie-mistakes.com. I've contributed many mistakes to it and it's the mopst comprehensive one.

I like NitPickers.com, but it scares me a little--because one day I might see too much and a movie I've loved for ages (yes, there are two or three, smartass) might be ruined to me forever. I'm already plenty leery of the IMDB's "Goofs" section, and I dare not enter Movie-Mistakes.com.

I'm quite comfortable with MrCranky.com; we have the exact same size corncob jammed in our bums. He doesn't point out the little gaffes or single-frame screwups; he just lets everyone know the whole movie whiffs of cowplop, the plot's completely retarded, and the acting is embarrasing to five-year-olds. And for movies I have no intention of seeing--ever--TheMovieSpoiler.com is perfect; I can briefly writhe in the seering anal pain that is A Walk To Remember without shucking out eight bucks to watch Jesus-prop. That stopped decades ago with Joni. (I am so old...)

I'd love to see one of these people watch a few episodes of Cartoon Network's "Sealab 2021," a show with absolutely NO continuity whatsoever. The time-travel episode alone is enough to make the hardcore Trek nazis' heads explode, and I can't even count the number of episodes that have ended with everyone dying...

Neither Superman 4 nor Mystery Men is real life........
Bad Taste on the other hand is (brains really can be held in with cunning use of a belt and sheep do explode when hit with missiles)
