Great review, but you omitted to mention the act of animal cruelty which occurs in the film's opening scene, when Gentry locks his pet cat into a cupboard when he goes to answer the door, and for all we know the poor animal is still locked in there since it is never seen again.  Watch for my book on 'Cats In The Movies' coming very soon!

Cool review, sounds like a fun movie.
My only complaint is...
I want more vid clips, dammit!
That's my favourite thing about your website, the sounds, pictures and the movies.
At least throw 2 or 3 on each movie...
And make them gory or funny.. Not just bizarre...

Any movie that Herschell G. Lewis directs is usually a must see. This one, I saw on a late night show. It still retains the impact it had back then. I wish I could find a copy, but it is difficult. Another great Lewis masterpiece, was The Gruesome Twosome.

Another Herschell Gordon Lewis classic that has a huge impact today. The gore is brutal as hell (H.G.L. went over the top when he made THE GRUESOME TWOSOME and THE WIZARD OF GORE). I remember reading a H.G.L. film review on www.imdb.com. The reviewer said that, "Herschell Gordon Lewis is a hack!" Was this reviewer living under a rock or something. He must have been a Steven Speilberg fan. I also remember that THE GORE GORE GIRLS had that famous comedian of one liners Henny Youngman. Youngman was a comic. I still crack up over his famous one liner joke, "Take my wife...Please!" However, Youngman actually disclaimed that he was ever in THE GORE GORE GIRLS. But the evidence is pretty clear that he was in the film. Today's gore films lack the polish and gruesome effects that ole' H.G.L. delivered. His films are pure examples of "good" horror films. Oh and the writer of the review made a mistake. THE GORE GORE GIRLS production company was "Lewis Motion Picures, Inc." It is not "Shock Films". Shock Films only issued the film out on DVD and video.

From the back of the DVD case for "The Gore Gore Girls" comes the following:

"© 1972 SHOCK FILMS"

Hey - did anyone else notice that the car wasn't going until her head hit the ground - and that it KEPT GOING?!?  Also, take a good look at that manequin [the killer's body] - honestly, is this not HILARIOUS?  Myself and my friends rewinded this about five times, laughing all the way through.  If you want to hurt yourself, watch this movie.  I like it, and I say it deserves higher [just me, I guess]... maybe 4... actually, probably not.  No, nevermind.  A 3 is about right

Chris K was correct the film was originally released by "Lewis Productions", and was also released as "Blood Orgy". I love all the killing scenes: the hot oil, the meat tenderizer, the part where the killer cuts the nipples of the victim off, and the part where the killer smashes the victims face in and tries to smash the eye which was oviously to hard!!!! A total p**s out for all fans of these sort of films, and a must for Herschell Gordon Lewis completists!

I usually enjoy H.G.Lewis' films, but I only found this film to be so much C-R-A-P. Very dissapointing, and yes, I am normally a fan of so bad they're good films. Too inept in an anoying way, I'm going to watch Robot Monster to make myself feel better.........

This movie is made up stupidly (not cleverly) of just two things.  Bad porno, and a crappy killer.

Maybe I was just born too late to miss this fad, but I guess that strippers in the early 70's were into marching band music.  And it doesn't stop.  The killing is extremely brutal.  Lots of eye-popping goodness.  I was kinda hoping for the girl who gets her face french-fried would turn into a human hush puppy like in Blood Diner, but I was not disappointed.  It was sufficiently messy.  Watch this movie.  It'll make you laugh.  Especially the abrupt ending, and the 'hero', who can only be described as the rudest & most effeminate person on earth, and his comments about the dead girls ("...She lost face 3 times...").  Also, these chicks need to learn how to dance (No offense to the girl above who was in the movie :)).  I guess it's just part of the era...

I guess a woman's @$$ tastes better when being beaten with a tenderizer by a stripper-killing maniac!

The greatest gore film of all time.  The gore scenes are just fantastic. Lots of facial, glutial mutilation. Contains a lovely eyeball bursting scene (7 years before Lucio Fulci's Zombie).
