THREADS (1984) - This is the most real and most horrific film about nuclear holocast. It's shot like a docudrama with newscast always in the background of the story. The story follows a few people, but mostly a young woman who is pregnant during the nuclear exchange. It followers her story to the end when she dies about 10 years later in very bleak surroundings. It's a very disturbing film that you won't forget. It's even better than THE DAY AFTER (1983). This is a must see.

You can watch the whole film on Google.

Thumbup Thumbup (8 out of 10 Stars) You won't forget this one.

I actually feel that Russia isn't out of this game at all even though through the 90's they looked somewhat defeated.

I think myself and someone else recommended this film in the discussion on Jericho.

It's a tough film to watch, but the brutality is needed.  I love The Day After but Threads stands heads and shoulders above it.  The film should be required viewing for middle school / high school students.

Didn't realize it's out on DVD here now.  I'll have to pick it up.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Thumbup Gotta go with you, guys.
THREADS is stomach churning real. TDA is filled with stars, and that little differance added to the ability to take THREADS seriously. Realy. The ( To Me) unknown cast made the tragity even more harsh.
