Thunderball Fists?! I can have such a thing?!

I may get flogged by the rest of you guys for looking forward to Fantastic Four 2. (WHAT?! I thought the first one was pretty fun!)  CHUD.COM just released an alleged photo of Norrid Rad (a.k.a. Roarin' Nad  BounceGiggle ) as the surfer. You can check out their little article here:

Looks a little too T-1000-ish to me.

Close shot and it looks more like concept work than a final product.  The writer over at Chud.com probably has a good point that the proof is in the pudding - we need to see the character in action.  I still have not gotten a chance to watch the first "Fantastic Four" film.

I must say I like the way CG animation is progressing, particularly motion capture.  It's man-in-a-suit taken to the next logical level.  Jackson's King Kong got that aspect 99% correct and I look forward to seeing it developed even further.

That image of Silver Surfer looks more like an Alex Ross painting than anything else.

"Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer"? Man, that subtitle gives me a headache, it's so awful.

I can't believe that they're going to make a second on after the disaster of the first one, and on top of that they're going to make the marquee character the Silver freakin' Surfer. A dude flying around on a surfboard... that's too goofy even for a comic book movie. Studio executives just have no idea what they're doing.

I hope that the director realises how bad this is going to be and makes it as hokie as possible, something along the lines of Batman and Robin. That  way at least bad movie afficianados will have something to laugh about.

I saw the trailer for Fantastic Four 2 last night and I agree with Masked_Maverick he does look way too T-1000ish. Plus the movie itself looks like it is gonna be only marginally better than the first.

I thought The Surfer looked alright. And why all the T-1000 comparisons? You guys are just trying to hate on this movie by comparing it to a better one.  Wink  TeddyR

I still have high hopes for this, as well as "Transformers" and "Spider-Man 3."

Actually I am not hating on this movie I won't have an opinion of the seires untill I at least watch the first one. I was sayinbg that the silver surfer looked too much like the T-1000 from T2. I have heard mixed things aobut the first one so I am still decideing weather or not I want to watch it (I probably will for Jessica Alba if nothing else)

The Surfer looks a little too fierce.  I think they should tone down his outward emotions.

I'm interested in seeing what Galactus is going to look like.  Will they try to make him more realistic and scary by taking away the pink and purple and the funny hat?  Will they ignore the fact that he's so huge and powerful he can whear whatever the hell he wants?  I hope not.  I will not accept a Galactus aside from the one I know already.

I've seen the trailer. Of course, it doesn't make me want to see the film, even with the addition of the Silver Surfer.
