When doing movie marathons I like counting films by the month.  Here's my break down by months.

December - 15 films
November - 14 Films
October - 14 Films
September - 10 Films
August - 4 Films
July - 1 Film
June - 9 Films

How many films do you average during a month?

I usually manage to view between 10 and 15 in a month.  Doing reviews actually slows me down, because of my rule that I watch them twice.

Doing reviews actually slows me down, because of my rule that I watch them twice.

Only twice? TeddyR I know, with some films, even two times seems like an eternity. I usually watch a film for my reviews 4 to 5 times. By the time the review is finished, I know the film by heart and am sick of it.

I usually watch about 15 to 20 films a month (for pleasure, not reviews), though some are harder than others to get through. All this week I've been trying to watch Jules Verne's Fabulous Journey to the Center of the Earth, but I keep falling asleep after about 10 minutes. Last night I made it to the one hour point.

Scott, I chose Feast from your list.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

With me I like to view them and then post a quicky post about the film. Since posting here I posted on about 700 different movies, so there is a very large database of rare, obscure, strange movies on the search engine. When ever I watch a movie I always like to post about it on this messageboard.

The reviews Andrew writes are great. Especially the parts where you record the minute of an "important" part to watch for in any given film. I would need a paper and pencil to write down everything and like you said watch it at least twice.

This webpage is my attempt to watch ever film of all significant subject matter of interest to me.  Smile

Shadowfyre, I think your reviews are more in depth than my own.  I always watch a film the first time to get a basic feel for it.  The second time is to take the notes that become the review when I flesh them out.  It ends up being three pages of shorthand, but with specific divisions - lessons, stuff, characters, images, sounds, video, and plot notes.

All I watch are DVD's/movie.  I hardly watch any actual television.

I usually average around 15 a month.

I'll watch a film once just to see if it's something I want to review. I could never start a review without having seen the film. Duane at B-Movie Central does this and he's gotten himself behind the 8-ball a time or two with some crappy films. My second time watching a film is for my Walk-thru segment, which takes me the better part of a week to do. Right now I am halfway through Viking Women and the Sea Serpent and am at about 7500 words. I usially watch a film at least two more times, jotting down notes and times for all the other stuff.

Good Lord I might need to think about getting help, I rarely watch regular TV or shows, I'm either on a movie channel or watching a DVD. I use to watch a lot of news channels but that is just depressing.

If I had to guess I see as many as 100+ movies a month, a lot of oldies on TCM which are short by todays standards. This time of year it just nasty outside, cold, muddy and gray. So I get a lot of movie watching in the winter months. Come spring and summer, it will drop off sharply and I will might see only 10 or so a month.

Wow, 100+ movies a month ! ! ! You should post about each one that you've seen right here. I'd like to hear about each of them. Especially TCM's films.

Well I' tell you this at 12:00 CST Gold Digger of 1937 and Gold Digger of Paris are on TCM and I'll be watching those, some time needed little to no sleep has it's perks.

Right now I'm watching a cheap DTV Sci-Fi movie called SHOCKWAVE! (A.I. ASSULT! on IMDB) it's a hoot. Cheap FX, a calvacade of old Star Trek, Babylon 5, Stargate 2nd and 3rd Bananas. George Takei, Robert Picardo, Tim Thomerson, Michael Dorn, Bill Mumy, Joshua Cox and more. Along with all the unknowns that do most of the acting ... um... bad acting.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468547/

This film would be GRAET to review, it's got so many goofs and error, I've caught myself laughing out loud at it.
Did you know ...
Rifles without scopes, show scope crosshairs from the cameras view.
Generals wear baggy shirts with the sleeves rolled up.
Military hair cuts are optional.
A 747 can crash from 42,000 feet and remain nearly intact.
Remote Island have paved paths.
Large car size boulders, rock easily when you run into them.
A LAAW (Light Anti Armor Weapon) is really a Bazooka and you can fire it without arming it.

that's just a few ...

Here's link to the company that released it ... they do a lot of modern day "B" flixz.

I"ve done 4 or 5 films in a day, but only a couple times. It's hard  Smile. I like to space them out to 1-2 a day. What your telling me is amazing. I'd have to take a walk or something just to get me back in the mood to sit down again.  Smile

See I'm up walking around on my studio all day and half the night with movies being projected on the wall. So it's not hard to see that many, a lot of the time it just background noise the dull the silence. I tend to get more done that way than with music, go figure.
