Walmart might work for some, but I keep lucking out at Best Buy.  Tonight I ran across three DVDs for $4.16 each:

Resident Evil Apocalypse
Enter the Dragon
Lawnmower Man/Lawnmower Man 2

They also had, for the same price (but I already owned them)
T2
Highlander 2
The Lost Boys
Wishmaster/Wishmaster 2 (they were out of this, rats)
and more

Wouldn't mind picking up RE: Apocalypse and Enter The Dragon.  I already own the rest with the exception of Highlander 2.  You couldn't pay me to watch that one again....

Our Best Buy went from nirvana when it opened to absolute s**te in the past two years. The War/Western section is 3/4 empty. The martial Arts is little better and clogged with cheapo multi-packs of stuff with the name "Wu Tang" slapped on them. Tempting if I burned through that kind of stff the way I used to, but not now.

The horror section never has the same stuff twice, the turnover is the most scary thing there. Although copies of the Edgar Wallace movie The Terror are always floating around. Anime is too pricey to sample unknown series or films, and turns over too fast also or has disjointed series collections. I'd do better to order online.

But the one in Huntsville 60 miles away, great selection and organized and neat.

I have a gift card I need to use, sadly I'm considering spending it on music instead.

The Best Buy near where I moved is not impressive at all, so I end up getting a lot of my stuff from Amazon, Movies Unlimited, and DVD Empire.  I am sure Jordan, Shadowfyre, Duane, and Gerry have noticed (though not known it was me).  I try to spread load across the sites I read a lot.

I picked up a couple cheapies at Best Buy, too:

* ENTER THE DRAGON ($4.99)
* FREQUENCY ($4.99)

They had a bunch of others, but I already own most of them.

The same thing happened to the Best Buys where I live.  I used to see the most random films on their shelves, especially in the sci-fi and horror sections (I should've acted on impulse and bought that cool wooden boxed edition of The Wicker Man and all of those limited edition Argento films).  Now it's the same stuff all of the time.  They never seem to run out of their copies of the Dune TV movie.

We went by Best Buy today and I saw this one, but here they had it priced at $12.99 - needless to say, I passed it by. Though I did get season 5 of Alias for only 25 bucks.

Best Buy used to be my favorite place to shop for DVD's, but in recent months their selection of scifi and horror has really dropped.

The Best Buy near where I live has always had a really good selection.   Thumbup
It's gotten even better as time has passed.
They've started selling a lot of obscure b-movies at decent prices.

Been awhile since I've been there though...I'm gonna have to make a stop there sometime soon.

The Best Buy near where I live in Roanoke VA, usually has a pretty good selection of stuff.

Their horror section in particular is always the most organized and well stocked of all the sections for some odd reason, but that suits me just fine.

My biggest beef is how the employees act like everyone who comes in the store is going to steal something so about 20 employees who don't know anything (and are mostly teenagers) constantly come up to me asking me if I need help. I usually just ignore them and act like a deaf/mute person.

but anyway, they had a really good deal a month or two ago on select special edition DVD's where if you bought one you could get another free.

I got the Dr. Strangelove 2 disc set and got the 3 disc Black Hawk Down set for nothing.
