Well, today was a big day for the mailman.  These all arrived.

Weasels Rip My Flesh
Slaughterhouse
Spookies (PAL, Region 2)
Tremors Attack Pack (all four films)
Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah/Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth (replacing my copy that is MIA)
Friday the 13th Collection: From Crystal Lake to Manhattan.  (found it new via "cdwh214" on Amazon for $34, incl shipping)

Now, what to watch tonight?  I am leaning toward "Weasels Rip My Flesh."

I found Deepstar Six at Wal-Mart the other day.

Anyone ever notice how Wal-Mart carries alot of B-movies? I found most of my collection there.

I recently got Weasels Rip My Flesh as well.

I also got a nice VHS Attack of the Beast Creatures.

DVD purchases will continue to be light while I am in school, but I'll be getting something Godzilla related soon.

Duel of the Tough and a public domain cartoon collection from the dollar rack at Wally World. So much for buying fewer movies. Had DOTT playing while on the computer the other night, looks worth a full viewing.

Weasels Rip My Flesh? Guess I know where that title came from.

Always had a soft spot for Spookies, maybe because I caught it on USA so often. But despite that it doesn't accomplish anything it sets out to do very well, and gets very disjointed at the end, since that storyline almost seems grafted on to flesh out the run time, I like it.

The first Tremors is one of my all time faves. The other three and the tv series never lived up to the original.

It's one of those I have to watch if it's on and the wife always says "Are you watching that AGAIN?!".

Re. Weasels --
Aside from the Neon Park albumn cover to the eponymous Frank Zappa record -- a very excellent musical adventure, by the way -- I too have never heard of this.
Yes, please enlighten --

I'm guessing it is some sort of docudrama about ballet school.

"Weasels Rip My Flesh" was awful.  It is the sort of thing that can barely be called a film.  I have no explanation how this was actually released on DVD.  It is not some little DVD-R pressing.  The outside packaging has the Image Entertainment logo.

Full details in this subject thread:

http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,112457.msg125763.html#new

The good thing is, I can use that thread as the plot section for a review.  The bad thing: if I am going to review it, I need to watch it a second time (that is my unwritten rule).  I do not usually curse, but ****!

Ash, I am sorry to say that "Tremors 4" in the Tremors Attack Pack did not have the bonus feature of "Recorded Live."  It must be on the single DVD issue of the movie.  Funny enough, my wife's question when she saw the set was, "Don't you already have 'Tremors?'"  I had to explain that it was all four films and I was hoping the bonus short you described was there.

I try to avoid Wal-Mart at all cost as my small part to help save small town businesses. However, I will admit I do go in to look through the $4.88 and $5.50 rack so I might pick up 2 or 3 a month there. Most of the ones I buy are pre-viewed from the local video stores and since I'm in a very small town they look like new and not abused. Really hard to beat 5 for $20.

The only recent b-fare I've picked up lately was The Tox Box and a couple of more of the 50 Movie Packs which will have a lot of b-movies on them that IMDB will say is not on DVD at all. They are not always the best print of the movie but enjoyable nonetheless.

Snakes on a Train

For £2.97, hard to resist. My friend, when describing it to me, went "it's the worst film you'll ever...oh wait, you've seen Orgy of the Dead. Never mind."
