VENGEANCE OF THE ZOMBIES (1973) - This is a great bad movie starring Paul Naschy as two brothers from India. One a guru and the other a Satanist who raises the dead with ritual magic. The film has many good horror scenes in it even if the story is dull. I like the slow motion they use every time the female zombies rise and you even have a masked cape Naschy looking like V FOR VENDETTA. The Indian Guru angle was a weak part of this movie. The film also features some 70's music that was strange especially during this one funeral. It was part of my Mill Creek Entertainment Drive-In Classics 50 Pack.

Thumbup (6 out of 10 Stars) Could have been better.

Never seen it, though I hope to get that Drive-In Classics set soon.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

The Mills Creek version is totally uncut from what I can tell, but it has some dark transfer moments, but it won't effect the more interesting scenes. I think you'll find it interesting Shadowfyre.

You won't be disappointed.  It's a bit surreal and slightly strange, though I've heard the Mill Creek version is cut.  I have an review of the old FVC DVD up here in case you'd like to compare.

Wait... don't buy the low budget versions:

The Spanish horror collection from BCI, debuting in March, includes a fully restored and totally uncut (ie. never seen before in the USA) print of this film, plus loads of bonus features.

See my preview page for more.  Thumbup

I might have to give this one a try.  I have the Drive-In set, but didn't even realize this was in it.

Thanks for the heads up Scott!

I've posted an updated review, with a couple screen caps, to my Mise-en-scene Crypt blog.

Enjoy.

The reason I say that I believe Mill Creek Entertainment has an uncut version is because of the gore and gratuitous moments (if you know what I mean).

Those Paul Naschy DVD's look awesome though.  Thanks R-T-C Tim and Kester Pelagius for the imput. The Mill Creek transfer is weak at moments, but I can't image what they cut out of this film because it is pretty wild. If it is cut then I definately want to see the un-cut.
