For the first couple of minutes of this movie, all I could think of was BROKEBACK EXORCISM as these two cowboy-types are wandering around in the wilderness. Then they find what they have been looking for - - a possessed girl named Isabelle who has just eaten a live rabbit.
The major problem with this movie (which advertises that it is based on true events) is that EVERY CHARACTER is dysfunctional (and generally annoying). The most normal character is Isabelle - - and she's possessed by a demon!
Things I learned by watching this movie:
* People possessed by demons talk in deep, echoing, dubbed voices . . . sometimes accompanied by subtitles.
* If you don't have time to call a doctor, it's a good idea to have the local veterinarian come over and inject your possessed daughter with a horse tranquilizer.
* One way to release a demon from inside your body is to slice open your forearms with a razor blade.
This isn't a very good movie, but it is a bit more watchable than I expected. It's full of stupidity, but there aren't many boring moments. And the girl is possesed right from the beginning, so you don't need to wait around for 20 minutes as the plot develops. A good movie to watch with your friends so that you can shout MST3K type lines at the screen.
