Fondling elephants will make you wise? Hmm. I went to school, read books, prayed to Crom...but fondling elephants never occured to me...I must go on a sacred quest in search of  the Holy Elephant, that I may manhandle his...parts(?)....and finally learn the secret of one hand clapping!
As long as I don't run into any killer rabbits,I should be OK. Thumbup

 TeddyR

Just for you, RC, I checked our entire holdings: no films on rabbits at all, unless you count the VHS of Watership Down that somehow made it into our collection.  TeddyR

We still have films on 16mm and Betamax here, believe it or not.  Wink

Blind guys fondling an elephant, is that where MTV got the idea for that goofy Wild Boyz program they used to show? Basically some of the Jackass gang harassing animals until they got bit, rammed, attacked, and so on.

But seriously, are they acting out the old tale about the three blind men each touching and examining a different part of the elephant, usually the tail, a leg, and the trunk, and trying to determine just what the whole critter is like?

Hate to think it might actually involve real blind man on pachyderm groping. There's bound to be some freak with that as a fetish out there somewhere.

No blacks working in the South African gold mines! Then the news, that Roger Moore movie Gold, and beach read/airport novel writer Wilbur Smith lied to me! Damn them all for their untruths!

And RCM, shouldn't you at least buy that Holy Elephant dinner first? Then again considering what it gets in exchange for imparting mere wisdom, maybe it should buy you dinner instead.  Buggedout

 BounceGiggle TeddyR Hi Yaddo.

You're 100% right on about the fetish part  TeddyR but you're also correct about the guys feeling the elephant to see what the whole critter is like. It was an analogy for how people outside SA viewed apartheid ~ Jamie Uys of The Gods Must Be Crazy fame directed it, believe it or not. Buggedout

That Gold Miners film is hilarious ~ the music sounds like Ennio Morricone could have a good case for plagarism, it could be a theme for a spaghetti western.  TeddyR
