Thinking of picking up the new ECW dvd set. ECW was superb.

Also want the Attitude Era dvd.

Summerslam is the 18th.

I may watch it just to see Brock take Punk apart...
I'll even watch the Cena, Bryan match just to see whats the buzz.

I am intrigued by the Cena match.

I've a feeling Orton will cash in on the winner.

Who will Orton face at Summerslam? - is Undertaker in this show?

Btw this will be my 1st Daniel Bryan match I've ever watched... I hope it's good - due to hype.

Undertaker is not on this one. He was going to face The Shield but had surgery recently so he's out.

Daniel Bryan is superb. His stuff in Ring of Honor is great. Best technical wrestler in years.

Same here.

And he did exactly that, cashed in on Bryan almost immediately after the match ended.

With Ric Flair working with WWE again and HHH helping Orton win the belt, odds Evolution shows up at RAW tomorrow?

Rant... I did give it try.

Spoilers

1st thing - where was the crowd's energy? I know it's not the heyday anymore but still...

The Rock - where was he? Didn't he say he'll 'never leave' again?... if I recall...

Shawn Michaels - What... the... hell was up with him? LOL. He looks like an old hillbilly... damn time flies!

CM Punk - did Brock really have to beat Punk to 'HELL and back' just to finish him off? Punk is too small to have superhuman abilities. How do you kick out after 2 powerbombs then a HUGE gorilla pins you down? I was lost during this match.

Daniel Bryan vs Cena - the kid has somegthing I'll give him that - Imo he's way to small too be fighting people like Cena (then BEATING HIM) what ever... like I said - he does have spunk - but so did like 30 others in ECW 90's. I'm sorry but he does not make it in my top 30 list... no offense but he looks like that little warrior from Golden Axe.

HHH - lol, why did he cut his hair? I see he's a heel again huh?

Randy Orton - GOOD JOB! I would do the same thing. (I did feel bad for Bryan though)

I guess i'm just too old school. But I did give it a try. Twirling

Smaller guys nowadays do tend to be the better wrestlers these days (not really sure why)...the bigger guys are usually terrible (Ryback) or have pretty much had their heyday even though some still dominate (Triple H, Brock). Guys like Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio have proven size doesn't necessarily matter as much as all that.

The WWE have been having guys kick out of finisher after finisher since the late 90s, which is when I'd say it really became more predominant. Before that, it was mainly only something Hogan or Warrior (perhaps occasionally Savage) would do.

I didn't see the card but the match I figured might steal the show was Del Rio vs. Christian. Really like Del Rio's work as a heel recently and his reasoning for turning on the fans as they cheered Ziggler cashing in Money in the Bank over him.

The Rock was seriously injured in his Wrestlemania match with Cena and believe said he might never wrestle again due to it. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if he did eventually make a comeback. Shawn Michaels pretty much is a hillbilly hunter type these days. I don't think many take him seriously anymore.

Wrestling nowadays tends to pretty much be all the same. Wrestlers follow carefully laid out, plotted out matches and basically just recycle the same tired storylines over and over again. The excitement and fun and unpredictably is just not there anymore. It seriously hurts the quality of wrestling that there's no more WCW or other serious competition for WWE.

Bryan is great. If you've got time, you've got to look up old matches on YouTube. The man is a workhorse. A modern day Bret Hart or Chris Benoit. Crowd LOVES him.

Was very disappointed by Raw Monday...replaying the old Corporation vs. rebel storyline again. Daniel Bryan doesn't quite fit the role of Austin that well though seems to me. I would have preferred we saw the old heel Orton who no one could trust. Throwing Triple H into the mix just isn't working for me...now had it been Punk Triple H doublecrossed, that seems to fit a bit better somehow.

They're hoping, barring injuries, the Corporation story goes through WrestleMania.

CM Punk was scheduled to defeat Lesnar at Summerslam.

Vince changed it, because Lesnar is penciled in to face Undertaker at WrestleMania, and they didn't want Lesnar looking 'weak' with a losing record coming out of SummerSlam. They'll be building him back up by January.
