I saw this one on the cable guide and decided to record it, as lately I've developed a fondness for foreign films. This one is a treat, it's about some of the people who work for the subway system in Budapest, Hungary. It's in subtitles, which is best because had it been dubbed it would have lost a lot of the nuances.
The story is about one of the workers, Bulscu, who has had something of a nervous break and won't leave the subway tunnels. He's the supervisor of a crew of misfits working there, and the funniest moments of the film are of them trying to enforce the ticket policies for the subway. But the film isn't a comedy, it's actually a very well-done thriller, as a mysterious figure in a hood is pushing people off the platforms into the paths of oncoming trains.
The film has a great techno soundtrack, if you like electronica at all, and I was surprised to learn that this was the director's first movie. The pacing is great, and it's a very moody film. Here's a link to the IMDB page, it's one I might have to buy for my own collection.Kontroll http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0373981/
