Part 3 is edited for TV (yes, they released the DVD that way  Lookingup ) but it's still kind of good.  I loved part 4 though.  Need to watch them again in this Halloween month.

really happy with the $22 I spent for some dvd's and a blu-ray at the local pawn shops.

My Bloody Valentine (original) - blu-ray
Godzilla Final Wars
Halloween 4 and 5 double feature release
Vigilante
The Cat Returns (2-disc)
Trap

and last but definitely not least the Anchor Bay Silent Night Deadly 1 and 2 double feature dvd.  Pumped I found this without having to pay the roughly $40 online price tag

Hey, Wal-Mart had it for $5, I hadn't seen it since I rented it in '89, so why not? Still good fun.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Well, this can't be said to be a purchase, because a local church was having a giveaway this morning and I, being off from work today, trekked over just to see what was available.  Found several pairs of work slacks (all in grade-A condition), a new messenger bag, and:

CSI (seasons 1 through 9)
CSI Miami (seasons 1 through 4)
NCIS (first season)
Bones (season 2)
Will & Grace (season 2)
Law & Order (second season)
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (seasons 1,2,5,8)
John Adams (the HBO mini-series)
National Geographic's Mega-Structures Collection

and copies of the following movies:

National Treasure 2: Book Of Secrets
The Good Shepherd
GoodFellas
Gladiator
Road To Perdition
Raging Bull
Revenge Of The Nerds: The Atomic Wedgie Collection
(with all four Nerds films)

And every single disc (even the TV collections) were in absolute perfect, unblemished condition.

So, how much did all of these beauties cost?

...that's right: NOTHING.  It was a give-away!

So it looks like I've already hit the highlight of my weekend.  Which is good, I could use the rest Saturday.

On the other hand, I picked up a few goodies at the local thrift store today for a buck apiece so I'm a happy camper:

I bought the GREEN LANTERN 3-D blu-ray a few days ago.  I'm not sure why . . . I saw it in the theater and wasn't a big fan.  It also came with the extended cut (9 minutes longer than the theatrical version).  The extended cut is in 2-D and I haven't watched it yet.  I'm not confident that it will improve the movie much, if at all.

Picked up a used copy of She from a local book store.  Marks the first time I've ever seen one of those on demand dvds in a used dvd section
